Dr. Salisu attended medical school at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and completed his psychiatry residency at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Nigeria. Dr. Salisu then completed a psychiatry residency at Central Michigan University, Saginaw and he went to undergo an addiction fellowship at University of California Los Angeles.
